P.E.A.C.E. (Polk Ecumenical Action Council for Empowerment) is a congregational-based community organization whose purpose is to build justice ministries and train members drawn from diverse congregations to work together to identify root causes of community problems and to take action to resolve them. During these difficult and uncertain times, P.E.A.C.E. is working even harder to help the unseen and the vulnerable populations here in Polk County, and they do this by hold those in power accountable for taking care of all their citizens! The hard work never ends, and St. Anthony is proud to be an active member of P.E.A.C.E.! Let me ask you, do you have a story to share about a social injustice that happened to you or someone you care about? Then this is for you! On August 18th at 5:30 pm we will safely come together on Zoom, to talk about the issues that touch our lives and the lives of our loved ones.Let me know if you want to be a part of this by contacting me, Laura Rector @ 863-858-8047 or faithformation@saintacc.com.
