Church Cleaners
Are you available for a couple of hours on Monday and/or Saturday mornings? If so, We would love your assistance with cleaning our church. We are blessed to have parishioners willing to do this, whose devoted ministry ensures a clean, comfortable, and respectful environment for our liturgies.
Clerical Assistance/Office Support
With a small parish staff we rely on help from people who enjoy being in an office environment and are comfortable interacting with the public either on the phone, or in person. Members of this ministry are involved in a range of administrative activites, such as hospitality at the front desk, data entry, directing phone calls, participation in mailing preparation, periodic bulletin 'stuffing', preparing items for the weekend masses, assisting other ministry members with copying, shredding, and special projects as needed.
Events Committee
The purpose of this committee is to plan and coordinate several annual events that bring our parish families and community together. All Catholic parishes used to be the center of social activities in people's lives. Today we are pulled in so many directions, it's good to have some great church functions to keep us grounded in our parish community. Events include an annual Festival, Trunk-Or-Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, and other seasonal gatherings.
Finance Committee
Adults with a background in finance/business are invited to join this team to help steer the financial direction of the parish. Quarterly meetings of 1 1/2 hours are very productive. Our responsibilities include preparing the annual budget, reviewing internal financial statements, approving major expenditures, and safeguarding parish resources. New members would be most welcome.
Grounds & Maintenance
Help is needed from those willing to work on keeping our campus clean, landscaping neat, and assist with maintaining our buildings and grounds. Assistance is needed on an ongoing basis, as well as when special larger projects arise.
Parking Lot/Traffic Control
As our Parish and School grow, it is necessary that we actively manage our parking facilities during the weekends, and for special services. This is important both to preserve the aesthetic of the campus and to ensure the safety and security of our school children and parishioners. Teams will work on a rotating basis welcoming parishioners as they drive on campus, and ensuring their smooth exit. Members direct drivers to the appropriate parking spot, facilitate passage of church traffic through busy parts of the parking lot, and manage cones and signs as appropriate.
Welcome Committee
This ministry involves being open and welcoming to new members of our parish. Ministers will reach out to newly registered parishioners, explain about the history and ministries of St. Anthony Parish and encourage contact and involvement in parish life. The Welcome Committee will also organize regular hospitality functions after the weekend masses specifically to welcome new parishioners.
